Chelsea Babcock joined TBIA in 2025, after a distinguished 15-year career on Wall Street. She grew up watching her father build the practice and returned to her Saratoga County roots to lead the practice into its next chapter.
Before joining the firm, Chelsea served as a Managing Director and Global Chief Operating Officer in Blackstone’s Credit and Insurance group. In that role, she oversaw marketing, client coverage, and capital formation for one of the world’s largest credit and alternatives platforms.
Before Blackstone, she was a high-yield and leveraged-loan credit analyst at Octagon Credit Investors and began her career in Fixed Income Sales & Trading at Morgan Stanley.
Chelsea is a CFA charterholder, 2018, and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Richmond with a B.S. in Business Administration, concentrating in Finance in 2011. She holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79 registrations through LPL Financial.

Born and raised in Saratoga County, Chelsea and her husband, AJ, recently relocated home with their two young children to prioritize family while preserving and expanding the family business. Outside the office, you’ll find her skiing, hiking, or spending time with family in the Adirondacks. Chelsea remains active as a longtime mentor and advocate in women’s finance initiatives and enjoys ceramics as a creative counterbalance to markets and spreadsheets.
